A team of Peers Consulting professionals performed a study of the Fleet Management Operations and developed process flows, software requirements, detailed selection criteria and Request for Information (RFI)/Request For Proposal (RFP) documents. The team also facilitated vendor/software evaluation and selection processes.

Conoil Plc Accounts Receivable Functions Assistance (ARFA) Project
Three of our professionals participated, at different stages, in Accounts Receivable Functions Assistance (ARFA) Project at Conoil. The project objective was to significantly improve and strengthen the AR functions with focus on technology, people, infrastructure and processes. Our people assisted Conoil to achieve data integrity on the JD Edwards Accounts Receivable application database, improve data gathering procedures and methods, improve effectiveness in the use of personnel for data gathering and processing. Finally, our professionals assisted the client to reconcile its customer accounts in eight regional / district offices nation-wide.

Our professional was appointed as an external consultant on information technology matters to the company, reporting directly to the managing director. Part of the job description includes the coordination of IT processes in the company, successful implementation of the company’s IT plan, increase the users satisfaction of the existing IT facilities in the company and help the company to derive maximum satisfaction from its investment in IT. The consultancy entails visiting the company twice a week to review and ensure the implementation of management decisions in relation to IT.

Our professionals implemented Software Plus; an integrated human resources and payroll system on IBM AS/400 platform for Tnplc. The first phase of the project involved the installation of the software on the Tnplc’s IBM AS/400 computer system; technical and user training for technical and major end-users and implementation support. The second phase of the project involved the interfacing of the Software Plus Payroll application to the BPCS financial application used by the Tnplc.

Peers Consulting won and executed the contract to install and implement computer networking for Police Service Commission. The other aspect of the contract, which is, web site development for the commission,
is nearing completion.

Peers Consulting conducted training for staff of Conocophillips on Microsoft Excel. The training was for key Finance Staff of Conocophillips. It was divided into two parts; Microsoft Excel Advanced Training and Intermediate Training.
   
Texaco Nigeria PLC Computerization of Regional/Area Offices
Six Peers Consulting professionals participated, at different stages, in the computerization of Tnplc regional/area offices. This engagement was broken into two components. The first component involved the implementation of Sage Pro ERP accounting software (formerly ACCPAC Pro Series) at its nineteen-regional/area offices nationwide. The modules of Sage Pro ERP accounting software implemented include; Inventory Control, Sales Order, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. The second component involved interfacing the implemented modules of Sage Pro ERP accounting system with the Business Planning & Control System (BPCS) on the IBM AS/400 at the Head Office.

The aim of this project was to assist Tnplc in the monthly data gathering and data processing at the sales locations. This was to streamline sales activities at the locations and to facilitate timely production of financial and management reporting at the Head Office.

Peers consultants assisted Tnplc to search and recruit highly qualified Information Technology (IT) personnel to fill some strategic positions in its IT Department. The engagement steps included:
• Analysis of the job function of the positions involved
• Development of job descriptions and performance measures
• Advertisement of the positions in the print media
• Development of interview/assessment materials and selection criteria
• Receipt of applications and selection of candidates for interview
• Conduct of interviews and assessment
• Final selection and submission of recommendations to the management
